Hey guys, I was wondering if yall think this balancer is a decent one to put on my motor when I do my H/C/I swap soon. The race one is supposed to good up to 10,000rpms. 5.0 Resto sells it for $169. I'm thinking about getting it because I can't afford to pay $300+ for a Romac right now. Here the link: http://secure.50resto.com/product1.cfm?SID=1&Product_ID=1733&Category_ID=571

Let me know what you think.

In a thread on balancers a little while ago, somebody said they go a Pioneer SFI balancer for $145. I can't remember who, but you could look it up and ask about it if no one replies to the thread. Also RC and a few others got a Romac from Mel at Fastlane Motorsports (on ebay) for $209 shipped. I'm planning on giving him a call when I do mine.

Yup I got the Pioneer/Powerbond balancer that was mentioned above. Got it from www.strokermotor.com for around $150 and it is a VERY nice piece! Also doesn't require a spacer like I believe the Romac does. It's SFI-approved so it should hold up to big HP and high RPM's.
