I was planning on flushing my coolant this weekend but I got a quick question.
I bought this a while ago thinking this was what I needed but now after doing my research, I'm not sure if I bought the right thing or not. I want to flush everything out, 100%.

Are you supposed to use this or did I buy the wrong thing?

And any tips, or is it fairly straightforward?

Thanks!

I had a similar post, and the concensus was just flush it with water.

If you have a lot of flakes in your coolant i would flush it with some water a few times, otherwise just do a drain and fill.

I THOUGHT ABOUT BUYING THAT KIT BUT I DIDN'T AFTER I READ YOU HAVE TO SPLICE IT INTO YOUR RADIATOR HOSE.

Whats wrong with that? You actually splice it into your heater hose.

Just use a hose and blast it for a couple minutes, works every time. When the water starts coming out clear you are good to go. That would seem like money better spent elsewhere.

Nothing, other than my mom's car had it and with metal clamps it looked cheesy. Also the cap leaked, and when you went to flush the yellow plastic hose did not extend outside the car. It was hard to get a catch bucket underneath it. IMO it was a waste of money.
