My 2000 mustang V6 overheated and has been losing water and coolant. It over heated while I was on the highway, probably going around 65 mph for around 20 minutes and I looked at my gauge and it was all the way on hot. Thankfully I was maybe a mile from the convenient store. It wasn’t smoking or spewing but it needed water for sure. I watched the radiator and reservoir for a couple days and no coolant loss no over heating for maybe a good week or more then right around the exact same place as it over heated, I could smell like it may be getting hot. So I pulled into the convenient store and it did need some fluids, wasn’t spewing wasn’t smoking, not really hot per se but probably was going to be soon. I work weekends so I had work the 2 days and getting off work yesterday evening I pulled over to check and it needed a little fluid not too much. I’m not sure what is causing it to have over heated and loss of coolant. I replaced the radiator cap. Today I’m going to look at the reservoir, I initially thought the reservoir may be leaking but now I’m not so sure on anything. Could you please help me
