Ok theres a stang I was gonna buy for a rollin chassis. 1000 bucks. It's got an 8.8 rear 3.73s no motor, t5 tranny with new clutch/cable, doors don't sag, all black paint, GT everything, good speakers which I could care less about, short throw shifter, interior is all together, yadda yadda yadda.

My friend said it's not worth it. I think it is. I need an 8.8 rear. I need gears. I need a windshield. I need a paint job. I need body kit brackets. I need my interior back together. I need headlight brackets. I need headlights. I need a shifter. I need a paint job.

He says i could get all the stuff for under a grand. But I say I spend less money AND work doing ONLY a motor swap. If I left out any key info let me know thanks.

I wouldn't say it was worth a grand. More like 500-700 bucks. For the parts you need I would just buy them. None of that seems all that expensive or hard to find. I would pass on the car and buy all your parts seperate.

I say...

Go for it. Sounds worth it to me! I think if it has enough, you'll spend less and like that one person said, use it for parts. Let me know how it works out.

I would just buy it and save up some money to drop a 351 in it. If the car is fine and doesnt have a salvage title or something I would make a street car out of it. It seems like a waste to just take a few parts off a perfectly good mustang without an engine.
