Congrats on getting it finished! What did you end up doing as far as specific suspension parts?
Alas, I don't think I will EVER get either of my Mustangs built and on the road!
We built the linked rear (it's a 3 link...sort of) and the fronts are a custom design, but a lot like the TCP.

Perfection takes time. Your car looks super! What color blue did you use?
I spent most of last weekend taking my '68 apart to repair some minor rusted places common to these cars, and to get it ready for body work & paint;

Consider yourself lucky that it's only taken 6 years to get yours to where it is now. I've had my '68 since 1982. I've been waiting for 25 years to build mine the way I want it.

Your project is coming along quite nicely! my car is Acapulco blue. Factory Ford color for Mustangs in 66-67-68-69.

look awesome G, congrats. hope to have mine on teh road again in the next couple months. i got a set of the 454's for mine from another member of the forum a while back just need to get the suspension in, get it back to the body shop for some touch up work and final panel fitment and get the interior reinstalled once i get it back from teh shop and i shold be driving it again soon, for a while, then it goes up for sale so we can buy a house.
all is not lost though, i'll be buying a 69 cougar from a buddy of mine. it's a 67,000 mile survivor all original but it does paint because of a shoddy repair job sometime in the 70's or early 80's, looks like it had a couple fairly large parking lot dings that someone skim coated the entire passenger side of the car to fix....morons. anyway my buddy has had the car for at least 15-20 years that i know of and it has been sitting in his garage half disassembled with the passenger side paint stripped off, luckily since it's so dry here in west texas there isn't any rust on the car not even surface rust from the stripped paint though he did applpy metal prep after he stripped so i'm sure that helped. also since it's been parked inside for so long the interior is mint immaculate, i mean perfect, even the dashpad is still nice and soft.
i'm kind of torn on what color to paint it though. it was originally baby blue with a white top and it won't be going back that color. i'm thinking either winter blue with a white top or acapulco blue with a black top. i do have this thing for acapulco blue though so i have a feeling it will be that color with the black top when i'm done.
anyway, glad to see you've got yours all done and on the road again. if you're ever in the area with it hook me up with a ride!!!!!!

Don't you realize by now these cars are never done, you only reach a stage where you collect your thoughts, more cash, then dive in all over again.
Thanks all...and yes I realize it's never done. In fact I still have to install several things. This car though hasn't been registered, or on the road, since 1985. It sat in my friends back yard with no engine, and no trans since then, and I rescued it.
I began the dissassembly right away, in November of 2000, and just got it back on the road this past Thursday. Don't know about you guys, but I feel a little bit of pride knowing that a basket case has been re-born, and will live on for years to come.
However my car is going to be sold as well. So for me, once I finish off all the little details, it will be "done."

I hated the 70 Mach rocker panels, always have. I also didn't want any graphics, and in my mind the 69 stripes were simple, yet effective in breaking up the side of the car.
It was a no brainer in my opinion...but opinions are like...well you know.
