JB’s 7th Annual SHOOTOUT, Sunday August 29th
Budwieser Motorsports Park
We are going to have a really strong contingent of fast Door Slammers & Street Cars, some running as quick as High 6, low 7 seconds, at 190+mph.
JB’s 7th Annual Shootout has you covered with eleven exciting race classes:
Pro Mod Outlaw, Our Premier Heads Up Class;Nitrous Vs. Superchargers Vs. Turbos, who will survive??
Top Sportsman: Big Cubic Inches, NOS, Supercharged Monsters. If you can run a 9:80 or better, you can compete in Top Sportsman at the JB's Shootout. The race format for these classes .500 Full Tree handicap start will be identical to the race format at the Rocky Mountain Nationals.
Power Street: Our new10:80 index heads up class. This should be a very hotly contested class, with no electronics, or throttle stops allowed and lots of killer local cars that run very close to this number.
Hot Street: Super competitive 10:90 index class (factored to 11:00). Throttle Stops and Delay Boxes OK, a perfect match for the highly competitive IHRA Hot Rod Class.
Limited Street: A highly competitive 12:50 heads up index class. An awesome place for fast street & bracket cars to do some head to head racing against the index. With no electronics or throttle stops allowed, this will be all about the tune-up and the driver.
Electronics and non- Electronics: Our two biggest bracket classes, (these classes are the same as the standard bracketeer events).
True Street Radial: For the Street & Muscle Car racers looking to put down some serious power on radials
Pro Outlaw Import: This is our Heads-Up, run whatcha brung, put-up or shut-up class. This will be the class to watch for Alberta’s Fastest Import racers going head to head to prove who has the baddest ride in the West. With several top import racers stepping up their combinations, look here for Alberta’s first Ten-Second pass from a Sport Compact!
Street Tuner Import: Race your Street car. All 4 & 6 cylinder & rotary engine Sport Compacts.
Diesel Truck Shootout: See Western Canada’s Fastest Diesels: It’s Chevy Duramax Vs. Ford Powerstroke Vs. Dodge Cummins to see who is this year’s King of the Diesel Performance Hill. We had lot of entrants at our June event, and had trucks running into the 12 second range. Lot’s of racer’s were entering their tow vehicles into this popular class, and many of them have gotten faster over the summer.
Trophies for first place, runner up as well as fastest Chevy, Ford and Dodge are up for Grabs!
Be sure and see the tire shredding Burn Out Contest. If you haven't witnessed the burn out contest at a JB's Shootout event you won't believe the smoke and the carnage from competitors wanting to take home the top prize $$ and the glory of being the Burn Out King or Queen.
Spectators only $14, Youths 7-12 only $8, Kids 6 & under Free at the gate. Pit Pass Included with all admissions. Racers only $50. for car and driver for all classes except Top Sportsman and Outlaw Pro Mod. Entry fee for car and driver for TS and OPM is $75.
Excellent payouts and valuable Gift Certificates are up for grabs for the winners and runner-ups & for all classes and awesome trophies at the awards presentation at the end of the race day.
