Yesterday was a nightmare I tried to have my JBA longtubes and off road h-pipe put in, but the right side of the header hit the alm. motor mount. So I called JBA and I talked to alex and he said it must be a manufature error. So today I sent them back. Alex said that they would send me a new one, but I pay the shipping to him and I can't recoupe my header coating cost because i had it done through percision motorsports.I'm out labor coating and shipping about $700.Also I think they sould at least meet me half way on the recoating. If fitment fails agian I'm recooping my cash and buying kooks. P.S alex was helpful I just think I should be met half way on the coating, that is fair.Has anyone elts had trouble with fitment of the JBA's?

That's bull****. I can see them not wanting to pay for coating but I can't believe they had the balls to say you had to pay for shipping back !!

He should be sending you a call tag on his dime... and sending you the replacement headers on that same dime.

Unfortunately, the coating is a loss, he could be nice and offer a little back, but I wouldn't expect him to cover it.

I think I'd be throwing a fit ... Well, actually I don't think. I KNOW I'd be throwing a fit. Poor customer service makes me more mad than anything on the planet.

Coating

You bought them in good faith that they would be correct. You got them coated assuming they would fit. Can you just send back the one that doesn't fit and only have to pay for one to get coated, his cost?

I thought it was general practice for the seller to reimburse the buyer for return shipping on an item that was wrong, defective, etc.

Kooks are some good header, although I have the AR header with catted H and they fit like a glove. If you go with Kooks I think Tillman Speed is still having there special going on. Talk to CR.

Bassani is better any way, they use a step down header. That helps with the mid range torque while still improving topend.

I don't see any reason why you should have to pay anything for shipping if it were manufacturer error. I'd argue about that one quite a bit. If the coating wasn't purchased through them, then I can understand them not wanting to pay for it.

I had a problem on the passenger side even getting JBAs in. I prayed and managed to get them in. Then I had a problem with the motor mount. I jacked the motor up another few inches and got them in, and got the motor mount bolted in. The issue now is the passenger side, at the collector site rubs the frame. No answer yet from the company. Makes a bad noise. I stuck some thick leather there for now, but it smells like a branded calf.

2007

I've got a 2007.
The thick leather fell out. I am now trying hot water pipe wrap. Too bad asbestos isn't around anymore. If all else fails the pipes will have to be heated up with an acetylene torch and moved over about 3/8 inch. Pain in the rear really.

wow, that is ridiculous! jba must be hurting for cash. i cant think of any other reason a vendor would do something so obviously retarded.

and i think they should reimburse all your costs! being a stand up/stand out vendor is what makes companies trusted and grow. why chose only to be average or in this case complete dicks?
