Hey does anyone have any experiences or feedback on whether the JDM kit or the Saleen HP kit works better for the 05-06 SC Saleen mustangs.

JDM uses the Saleen supercharger but they have their own upgrade components and a tune.

I just made the decision to go with the Saleen upgrade kit over the JDM one. The three big reasons for me were:

1) I don't like the look of a big CAI inside the engine bay

2) With the Saleen pulley installed at Saleen I understand that they put the sticker back on the pulley.

3) Ford approved the parts and warrantied them for 2007. Only difference is the tune is detuned to make 465HP instead of 475HP. This does not mean that the upgrade kit is warrantied by Ford for 2006 cars. Just means the engineers gave it all a big thumbs up.

The end result, it looks bone stock w/ the exception of the blue injectors.

If you like the big CAI look go for JDM. There's nothing bad with their setup and they have lots of success.

JDM uses a Saleen pulley and puts the sticker on.Plus you choose what size pulley you want. Also JDM gives you all the original parts back.I'ld let you take my car for a spin if you are ever in the area.

Ah, that's good to know for the JDM kits.

Basically it all comes down to the JDM kit using a CAI then for me. I really don't like the look. Personal preference thing.

If I lived where you live I would have most likely have gone with the Saleen upgrade. Since I live close to JDM it made sense to use them and I'm happy I did, But like you said it's all personal perference. I guess that is what makes this country so great.

Im thinking about going JDM. How much boost is the kit producing ?
I have to have my shop here in Fl. Install it, if I don't do it myself, and I was wondering How much they charged or how many Hrs. it took.

I have a 3.40 pulley which is about 8psi I think. You can choose 3.4,3.2,or 3.0 pulley. As for as the work, it took them 11.5 hrs. That's what is says on the invoice. If you want give them a call.Their # is 732-780-0770.They can explain things much better than me and I don't want to give out any wrong info.Like I've said before you will not be disappointed.

For what it is worth......

My dealer told me he recommended the JDM kit. He said it is a much better set up than Saleen. I know JDM boasts 420hp to the rear wheels.

I haven't done the upgrade yet but I am really itching to. I can't stand not having full boost unless i am at WOT.

I think I will wait until spring and make sure no issues pop up with anyone with the upgrade.
