So I'm at my infraction hearing (77 in a 60) in Pierce County and the judge is all set to swear me in, listen carefully to my testimony and then of course convict me and collect the fine. I point out that the ticket wasn't filed within 2 days as required by Court Rule...denied. I then pointed out that none of the boxes at the top of the ticket were checked indicating who the plaintiff was or even what court the ticket should have been filed in. I argued that it was unclear whether the court even had jurisdiction and that techinically, nobody was prosecuting the ticket...GRANTED/ticket dismissed.
On a side note, I've driven all over Nevada, California, and Illinois in the past several weeks and didn't see a single state patrol car running radar/laser. I've been back for a week and over a 40 mile commute, I see an average of 4-5 WSP cars with someone either pulled over or running laser. Today on SB I-5 there was a big speed trap with 7 cars working between Southcenter and Kent. What gives with this state.

I'll see what I can do.
