I was reading the HotRod back in sometime in May '00, and they supposly made 380hp@5500 and 396tq@4400 with a 351 with:
GTP heads(1.84/1.46) with 9.5 cr
Comp 280H(230) .512 cam with 1.6 rrs
Perf RPM intake with Holley 750 DP
1 5/8 lt headers
I was going to replace the cam with a XE 224/230 112 cam and make it EFI. My question is what intake do you think I should go with and what tb?
The good news is that they did this with $1500. I don't expect the same #s with a streetable setup, but with the new cam, I should get atleast the same or better. I was going to put it into a 86 with a 5sp, will need a rebuild for this motor.
