With the help of David Hearne found the right unwarped accelerator cover installed new gasket/dia. no more weeping fuel on intake----but wait I could still smell gas hours after I shut off. Faint but there anyway. I saw where the seller"s repair bill's(have owned for a month)showed a new needle and seat assem. installed 5 years ago because of leaking fuel. I read in MAC,s Mustang cat. they sell a needle and seat which will stop ths leak over condition. I'ts got some cryptonite rubber compound!! Question do you think this is the cause of the fumes and if I install new one do I screw in the seat and make it snug or semi- tight. Once gas is out of bowl looks pretty simple . Have done before but that was a loooong time ago. On a side note since my flapper(OEM) valve in air cleaner snorkel never opened even at the 110 degree mark, I removed spring and left flap open. So probably smell more now. Any help/suggestions will keep me out of the "Betty Ford Clinic" Thanks-Doug
