The stang has been in a few different "combos", lookwise since I bought it, 2 years ago. I was just so bored of my kit that I had to remove it and go stock look. The new pic is pretty crappy. Just had the car back today. Stang is really much nicer in person.

Here's the progression:

When I bought it

Last summer, when I changed wheels and headlights + corners

This spring, when I changed wheels again.Xenon doesnt go to well with my Welds IMO

Today, with no bodykit

Lookwise, I think the chrome 03's we nicer but I saved 100pds by switching to the Welds. I dont regret it. I like the stock look. Maybe a nice hood will come some day.

What do you all think ?

Yes, the body kit looked good with the 03's but with the welds it just doesn't look right.

Looks good! Although I did like the look with the 03's. But hey, 100 pounds is worth it.

Looks better w/o the kit, but the Cobra's looked alot better imo. Why didnt you just use the Welds for the track and the 03's for the street?

Cause I dont have that much money. I put that cash in engine mods instead.

I liked it with the body kit better... but that's me. I don't LOVE my body kit anymore, but it looks much better IMO than a stock stang. Can you do me a favor and weigh the kit and let me know how much weight was saved by ditching it?

Im just being honest and not trying to kiss your ass since alot of people will do that once they see alot of positive replays but I think it looks like ass w/ the welds and the stock body kit on it. IMO it looked best w/ the Cobra rims and the body kit back on it. Maybe its just me but I really hate welds on a car, there fine for the track but not a daily driver. Just my honnest oppinion. If you put on a new hood, wing, and front bumper then it would be killer w/ the Cobra Rims on it.

BTW the color of your car is I what that same shade of blue when I paint mine, maybe a little darker but that color is so awesome

IM gonna have to agree with Striped. There is something missing with the Welds and stock body...I think it's a nice hood and/or spoiler.

And believe me, Im considering ditching the kit altogether...but NOT because of looks, but because it keeps flaking, scraping (not good with springs) and it is beginning to separate from the car.

Can you send me an email
and tell me how you remove the kit?? I may try that.
Thanks
RC

Rob, I've been seriously concidering for a LONG time now getting the ABC exclusive front and rear xenon knockoff fascias since they are one piece instead of just a add on. I will NOT get the same side skirts again, they are too freaking low, why xenon extended them down below the frame is beyond me. I like the stalker front fascia but I hate the back. It will probably be years before I do anything, but it will be done.

I like the second photo the best. The body kit was kinda subtle. Not too loud. I would have kept it on there. It gave your car a little bit of uniqueness without over doing it.

I had a Sapphire Blue Ford Ranger. It was Purple. My friends called it the Barney Truck. I didn't care. It was a steal when I bought it.

I dont mind the stock look over the body kit. The kit didnt do a whole lot for me anyway. But I did LOVE the 03 cobra's with your color! Even with the stock look they would have looked much better. I would have kept the 03's and put myself on a diet. JMO.

I tried to weight it the best way I could and I got about between 40-45pds. Front bumper around 19pds, each side about 6pds, the rear is about 12pds.
