I never have a prob with my oil filter wrench. I never tighten my filters that much so it's only a few 1/8 turns before i can get it by hand

Agreed. Also a rubber glove (kitchen dishwashing kind) works well most of the time, no wrench needed.

Thats what i used one of the times i did it, just a regular rubber glove outta the box. What a grip you get!

I was only 10' away from some excellent rubber gloves on a shelf in my garage

I had to use the screwdriver method on my race car. Man that thing was crazy to get off!

i recall a previous thread you made regarding your concern. what did you finally conclude?


i guess you really dont need to use seafoam. theres always tecron and the like

No smoke whatsoever. The thread is in teh SVT section and is called "fed the snake some snake oil"

so i assumed there was gunna be a vid

one should never assume

glad it worked out! but if you suspected it to be an injector why not put it in the gas tank? i am a little confused lol

You only have to put the new filter on finger-tight. The person that owned your cobra before was probably a dumbass and didn't know that.

I put it on finger tight then give it a little twist with a wrench. I use the wrench because usually my fingers are oil soaked so I don't get a good grip on the filter.
