I ordered the final pieces of the puzzle to finishing up my combo. I ordered everything for my rear end. Heres the run-down: Motorsport 03 Cobra 31 spline differential with carbon fiber clutches, Motorsport 4.30 gears, Moser 31 spline axles with the star flange lightening option (should save 12 ish lbs of rotating weight) all new bearings, seals, shims, crush coller, main cap studs, ring gear bolts ect and an LPW girdle. Can't wait til the rear is done. I got the rear out of the car and all disassembled. Myself and Ninjacoupe on here are going to assemble the rear.

I'm gonna order a 3" X pipe too while i'm at it. Car should run much better now with the gears and bigger exhaust. I got the UPR upper control arms in too and i'll set the pinion angle when the rear is back in

I'm using the 03 Cobra differential. Its a direct swap in an 8.8. Definatly not taking a step backwards and going IRS

I thought there was something to the 03 trac-loc that was not 100% drop in? Like something to do with the way the IRS half shafts go in there is some kind of tab or c-clip elim. that has to be delt with?

Sweet, that's the reason I haven't changed to 4:10's, axles, etc. because the tranny would be the weakest link then. Take pics of the install.

Well, i'd LOVE to go 10.90 @ 121 but we all know that won't happen. I'd like to get an 11 sec slip with around 120 mph. If I get that mph i'll know I hit my goal of a 10 second capable n/a pump gas street car. Problem is, theres no local tracks around here. I have to drive to friggin NJ to race. Not that its far, its just a niucence (sp?)
