i kinda just finished up my turbo stang. i bought it in sept as a 6cyl with a rod knock. after i successfully hydrolocked the 6 and shot 2 rods out, i tore that motor aut and rebuilt my motor from my notch and dropped it in, building another turbokit in the process. here are some pics of the engine bay today.
tp38 garrett powerstroke turbo
31x24x4 intercooler,
deltagate
forged pistons circa 1985
94 block
94 t5
rfl bov
reversed fox intake with 3/8" spacer (fits under stock hood)
all 3" tubing
30#'s
vortech fmu
ill have vid and sound clips by the weekend, just breaking in the new motor as of now, boost will have to wait

Looks great!. I can't wait for the vid's. I am starting to love the sound of an EIGHT cylinder TURBO motor.

yea basically just flipped it and removed the vac tree and capped that hole.

Looks cool man. Did the throttle cable hook right up? Or you need to modify it in some way?

nah i dont have a thread anywhere, i was gonna do one, but figured id just wait till the end, now i dont have that many pics of wwhen i built it. ill get more pics of the hotside when i pull it off to paint it all.
right now its an open downpipe by the passenger foot area. sounds great, but unfortuately the cops dont appreciate sweet exhaust music and will bust me for sure, so i am gonna run it back with a 3" "fatbob" muffler, basically a big shiny glasspack, i can see right through. i will do this all myself, as the whole project, noone has touched the car except for me and my gf swapped my pedal assy to the manual set.

throttle cable is on by zip ties right now, its the 94 v6 cable, and i used a old 86 mustang throttlebody axis with the bigger fox gt body so i could retain cruise, but i still have to fab up a connection for the throttle cable, should be easy.

im not putting it on the road till march so i dont crash it. i know ill be tempted to take it out and hit ice or something so im playin it safe. i got a vid on page 2 of my cardomain . thats it for now till i get a memory card for my vid cam, then ill have tons...

let me know what you ant pics of and ill take them and put them on my cardomain.

ya. i saw that vid but i was wanting a little more lol

can you get me a pic of your passenger side header where it connects to the crossover.

how did you route your cold side after it leaves the turbo? cant tell by the pics.

i want to route mine down the engine compartment like the turbolocity kit between the rad and crossover pipe and then turn into the fender at the bottom.
