Well Just Got Home From Dynoing the Stang and I must say I guess the stock motor has had it. I was not impressed at all.

My Goals:

180-195rwhp

Runs:

Run 1 All Motor Run:

Avg HP: 167
Peak HP: 178

Avg TQ: 197
Peak TQ: 232

Run 2 125hp Shot:

Avg HP: 202
Peak HP: 228

Avg TQ: 238
Peak TQ: 283

It was on a Mustang Dyno and all i can say is o'well time for MMR900 and Other Goodies

Those numbers are interesting. You have quite a bit of bolt ons and it seems like your numbers should be higher especially with the NOS. Perhaps your engine is tired after great years of service

I dont really get Mustang dynos. The numbers are sensitive to the weight entered in the machine or something like that. Either way they are always low. Just get on a DynoJet. More importantly what was the AF ratio???? Your nitrous numbers are awful. NPIs usually do well with nitrous.

Do a compression test and see if anything comes back wrong.

If the motor is healthy possibly there is a problem with your transmission... definatly doesn't seem right as stock non-PI's can put those numbers down.

WHOA! I think it's time for you to hit up your local salvage yard and have a PI 4.6 pulled out for a few hundred bucks and then installed for a few hundred more bucks. Will be the best money/mod spent on the car. The nitrous is the most baffling thing - what did your A/F ratio look like? Were you able to see the load on your fuel injectors during all of this? Possibly running a dirty fuel filter? With those mods I would expect you to hit at least 200rwhp without the nitrous. Go visit your local junkyard!

Da da da da dayum! +1 on the compression test. You're probably right aboot the motor being aboot shot, but it's always nice to KNOW first before you count it out
