So i decided yesterday when i was drivin home from school to see how many miles i could get on a tank if i drove 70mph the whole way home and never gunned it. ended up gettin 354 miles before the low lvl light came on!

It always suprises me to see how efficient these motors are

All highway. I got 340-ish driving from Little Rock to Dallas before I stopped for gas, and I still had about 1/8 tank left.

In stock form, and sometimes slightly modded, it will get that. Mine got close to that. I just filled up with 286 miles on the tank. Just have to take it easy.

the ride home from school is 6 hours and its the same straight flat highway the whole way home. I was going 70 mph runnin exactly 2000 rpm the whole way home. Never slammed on the gas, i used the cruise control to slow down or speed up. Also the diablotuner actually did help increase efficiency i think

With gas prices what they are here in northern california $3.50/gal for 87 octane I FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE decided to see what kind of mileage I was getting. Driving in my normal way (Heavy Foot) I got 220-240 miles on my tank. 354 miles is awesome. Maybe I will try a little harder to keep my foot out of it.

What was your Miles Per Gallon? 354/number of gallons when you filled up=mpg

I've done the same before on a long drive to Maine.

70MPH cruise control on entire way i averaged about 26-27MPG.

I filled up at a station on the highway and then when i got off i topped up again and did my calc.

These 4.6L's are very good on the highway. Just sucks around town because you are tempted to run through the gears!
