just picked up a 06 gt black with red interior ,interior upgrade package and premium wheels ,and side air bags .im very happy with the car but i have one question the car has at idle a decently loud ticking noise does everyones car have that , im just curious not concerned . but i do want to to know thanks guys for your info

no ticking or knocking here. Mine is an 05 gt, stick. Sounds like a trip to the dealer is in order before any damage is done.

i posted a response in the other thread you posted this in. it could be the noisy injectors, or the VCT noise. there is a TSB for the VCT noise. it really depends on several factors. see if you can get a hold of actual copys of the TSBs for the new stangs...they will help you troubleshoot some concerns.

Ticking?

With the stang being brand new and all I'd take it in to where you got it and have the service dept. take a look. It is better to do it now than wait for the ticking to go away.
