just got more power by turning down my timing!

huh, i hae no idea why but my car was set a 19deg, i turned it down to 14, and woah large sotp feel,, dont know why but it did lol

Iron heads don't like too much timing. With stock heads on a dyno my car was best at 13 degrees. Lost 7HP at 16 not too mention it was pinging.

Same thing on my dyno....lost power all around..14 was the sweet spot...

It never pinged when set at 19*?

I wicked my aluminum jobbers up to 20* and they didn't like that too much at the top of 3rd.

too much spark timing will knock performance down. one of those things that more is not always better.
