You would just be lying if you say it would probably never see the track. You have to take it and show it off.

i honestly dont have any intention of taking it to the track. aside from it being my daily driver, i cant afford to replace engine parts if they fail (cost of parts for the modulars are ridiculous compared to the pushrod engines). it will see the dyno fairly soon though.

Take that thing to the track. There is no reason to worry about engine parts on that thing. You have one of the strongest factory engines that has ever come out in a production car. I'd probably get a pulley for that thing too, because the only thing that sounds better than the exhaust is the whine of a roots blower at 5000 rpms!

With the problems he's having with the 94 I would agree that beating the hell out of his daily driver is not a good idea. It would be a tad embarrassing having $50,000+ in Mustangs and taking the bus to work everyday. Plus Ford has an eye on all the warranty 03's that come back. If the air silencer is missing you may be in for it.

Couldn't resist posting this one.

The local race track, Cecil County opened up last night and there were 2 Camaros and 2 Cobras, all with busted drivetrain. You could hear the one guy in the Cobra strip his third gear. The other had something bust in his differential and spewed 3 quarts of gear oil onto the track from the 330' until the end. So maybe it's not the motors, it's the drivetrain.

My old man works at Ford and has said that Ford will not replace any parts that show "evidence" of being tampered with.
