Just ordered my new '07 GT

Just went down to the dealer today and placed my order for a new 07. I got black clearcoat, Shaker 500 system, Cal package which included the black leather seats with dove trim, 18inch polished wheels, special floormats, polished exhaust tips, pony center caps, the white CA stripe on the outside and the dealer and i couldnt figure it out but there is some sort of striping on the interior so whatever that is its black. I also got the 5 speed with the optional 3.55 gears in it. BTW if anyone was going to order one also if you get the Cal package u can't do the spoiler delete option and you must take the comfort group package 53B on the order sheet. There was no pricing available yet but he's gonna get back with me ASAP with info. Can't wait to get it even if it takes most of the summer

Unfortunately he didn't know either as it wasn't in the system. Job 1 is May or June 5th, i can't find the post that had the exact date in for some reason. But i'm hoping for late July. My last mustang i ordered from him was in July of 99 and i got it the end of October.

I am not sure if you are referring to the outside or the inside colors. On the order sheet, if you are referring to outside colors the Cali package comes in...Black clearcoat, performance white cc metallic, vista blue cc metallic, and redfire cc metallic. Inside colors are either black leather with parchment accent or black with dove accent.

Just curious because I have never ordered a new car. Do you put a deposit down at the time of order? If so, is this refundable? Not buying a new car for awhile since I already have my 06, but after reading the above post about not knowing the cost of the vehicle, I was curious who took the hit for the ordered car should the buyer not want to pay some outlandish amount?

The 3.55 gears are optional? I ordered mine last week and I didn't see that option. What gears are standard?

The 3.55 gear ratio is only available on the manual gt's. The standard gears are 3.31. The code for the 3.55's is 455. If you didn't specify that you're gonna get the 3.31's.

Some dealers may ask you to do a downpayment, but 9 times out of 10 they won't b/c they won't have any trouble selling the car if you don't take it. I didn't have to put one down at all for mine.
