Congrats and enjoy. Any reason you didn't go with the pypes version? It's just over $200 for the same thing, polished end to end.

Keep an eye on the welds for the SLP. A lot of people have had the hangers break off from the pipe and tips. The double-walled tips don't seem very sturdy because someone else had to have their PowerFlo tips replaced several times under warranty to the point SLP threatened to cancel the warranty.

You install them yourself? How easy was it? AKA all I have is a jack and BASIC handtools (like the cheapo single driver with replaceable heads for screwdrivers and sockets), so could I do this myself?

Post some sound clips! I have been contemplating the SLP's, but I'm almost afraid they'll be too loud...

very easy! it took about an hour an a half to do it. and thats without jacking the car up at all. go to youtube and type in "mustang gt slp". theres lots of sound clips of it.

ps. some of the clips make it sound like crap so listen to all of them and find the high quality ones!

Haha yeah, I've seen them all on youtube. I think I'll just have to wait until I hear a 05+ with them in person, because you just can never REALLY tell with the sound clips.

Insane that you guys (and gals) pay this much money for some straight tubing and stainless tips. They have about MAYBE 30 dollars in that axle back. You could get the same thing done for 100 at your local muffler shop.
