Just took my vert to the strip

I took the stang to Thompson Raceway Park in Ohio.. and I thought my car should have been faster!

This was my fastest time..

Gears and weight are the main thing holding you back. Get that 60 ft. down into the 2.0-2.1 range and your time will improve with some more track practice. Still not bad for the first time to the track.

Get that 60' time down. That comes with practice though. Some DRs wouldn't hurt. Looks like you are still running stock H-pipe and headers so 15.1s with no traction is not bad.

i would have figured you would have gone faster than that, i'd say practice driving and gets some drag radials and gears and that will get you where you need to be...15's are auto tranny territory

I ran 1/4 15.0 @95 with a 2.4 60 my first time out with the mods in my sig.My 1/8th is in the sig also.

Just takes pratice and gears help a lot on the lauch.

Your MPH should have been higher. What RPM did you shift at? DId you have to leave off the throttle when you spun off the line? Your running around what you would be is you didn't have the intake on there. Add some gears and pulleys and you should easily knock 1/2 a second from your times IF you can learn to launch it right to get that 60' down.

I wasnt really paying attention to my rpms.. but it was a little below redline if I recall. I was spinning off the line but I pretty much just hammered the throttle. Next time I run I will work on getting my 60ft times down.
