I tried to install a K-member brace on my 89 but could not get it too fit. It is a 4pt and have a Moroso 20511 oil pan. Do these not work with aftermarket oil pans?
K member braces are hard to insall correctly. Most do not fit in the intened holes. If it is hitting your oil pan, that is one thing, but if it isn't lining up with holes that is another.
Over time the kmember squats and spreads out due to weight of car and non existance of a brace to begin with. When you go to put the brace on - the holes are too far apart - causeing you to make new holes.
Instead of drilling new holes - I jack up the center of the kmember and use wood clams to bring the sides back together so it fits properly.
