351w swap shifter is not lining up

I have a 351w mounted in the 93 lx and when I use the t5 stock crossmember, it pushes the shifter all the way to the passenger side. I am using the stock 302 motor mounts. The moroso 20511 oil pan is also almost touching the back of the k member on the passenger side. It seems like the engine needs to be shifted to the drivers side some. How do i do that?

But, even if i did shift the motor to the drivers side, it would push the shifter even more to the passenger side because the stock crossmember is the pivot point.
 
My guess is you need to flip the crossmember. the two slots in the middle of the cross member are not centered. Just happen to have my old crossmember off the car so I took some pictures. About 1-3/4" difference side to side.
