I have mine out of the car..... so here’s what I have from my ‘86.
I can’t swear it wasn’t tweaked at one point. This car does have an aero nose conversion, so I do suspect it was in a minor front end crash at some point.
Edit: And it may be tough to tell in the pic, but the zero end of the stick is at the center of the hole.

Yes, there were. Earlier K-members were narrower by about 1" where the control arms mount up. The 87-93 V8 cars had welded up spring perches while 4 cyl and pre-86 k-members had stamped.
Compare the spring perch area on yours to this 87-93 k-member.

Unknown. Or at least I don’t know for sure where the transition was.
a very highly regarded reference book that I will need to quote later on lists it as some point in early 1988. So it could be a late 87 or early 88 transition
