Kaase wins Engine Masters, Fords rule again

With a new cylinder head from a company named Cylinder Head Innovation Kaase spanked everyone. He made 700hp and 620lb ft all under 6500 rpm. The heads are a cleveland style and look awesome. There is alot of info about them on there site, chiheads.com. You cleveland guys should love these things, there called the 3V head.

Does anyone know why he didn't use the heads he developed, instead of using the chi heads?

The rules would not allow him because they are a custom type cyl head not a factory type.

So, are the AFR heads better than these? I'm talking about the AFR heads that beat the KAASE heads in the last magazine test?

Totally different animal all together the Kaase heads are a bolt on for 289, 302 and 351W. The CHI heads are a cleveland style head and you would have to do the same mods as if you are bolting a set of cleveland cylinder heads on the 302, 351W which also calls for a custom Intake.

Great . . . the three people in the world running Cleveland motors should be thrilled. LOL!

Any news about the Windsor KAASE heads? Last I heard, the AFR's were still better.

I don't care about Windsor heads, I'm not planning on building a motor for a pickup or station wagon any time soon.

better is such an imprecise word. Which aspects are we comparing? Weight? Flow? Cost? Availability?

There's plenty more than 3 people running Clevelands here. Maybe even 10! LOL I jest.

Okay, seriously, I know the Clev is a good motor (top side especially). It's just the Windsors are more supported.

The AFR heads cost about the same as the KAASE Windsor heads (from what I remember), and they flow more. I'll have to look at the article, again.

Nope AFR 225's still beat them heads up.

They did. But isn't that a CUSTOM head ? I would think so. They are sweet ass sweet heads though ! I wish I had the money to build a motor that required those heads, let alone afford to build the motor !

Well, I'm seriously considering building another stroker Windor in a couple of years, and I want to make sure I have an idea an what the best equipment is.

I SERIOUSLY considered building a blower motor (Windsor), but I can barely keep my n/a motor cool in the summer.
