The KB 2.2 is now listed on their website, but no numbers or prices yet. Should be nice!

Your going to need a built motor for it and an aftermarket hood for clearance, $$$ is gonna start adding up quick. While im sure it would be awesome, I would probably just go for hp's turbo kit.

Its on there, if you click on superchargers on the left, it will bring them all up, look under ford, then our year. I think I would rather have the KB then the turbo, on this car anyway. I think the KB will have better drivability, hopefully. However, I wouldnt mind a turbo fox body.

the old one was 1.7 liters. the new one is 2.2 liters. would that make this one more efficent at the same boost level or just capable of putting out more boost?

I would think more efficient. Less stress and heat on it to make the same 14lbs of boost as the 1.7. But im no expert, just a guess.

yeah I found it stupid me... I would bet it is just like the difference between the 2.2L and the 2.4L for the cobra's. Prolly just capable of more "efficent" boost. If that makes since?? I can't wait to have one

were either of those 660 hp cars your testing now, previously running a KB 1.7? If not what is the most you can get out of the 1.7?

ditto..what the max u can get from a 1.7L on built engine with stage 2 heads/ blower cams? 550+ ?
I'm pretty sure the 2.2L will be a nice chunk of money and most likely it won't have a CARB number either for us on cali...

550 rwhp would be tough to get with the 1.7 but possible. You'd be spinning the daylights out of that little thing to get it there, though.

I know of a few guys making 500+ rwhp with the 1.7 running 14-15 psi. The problem then becomes heat with that much boost on such a small blower. I know of at least one that has gone to water injection to keep inlet temps in check.

I'll be shocked if the 2.2 is less than $6k.

How much for the 1.7L?

I was looking at the 1.7L earlier today and I didn't see any prices. What does that setup run?
