I'm in the middle of the install of my KB S/C kit and noted that the part number of the spark plugs I received from Sparkplugs.com is IT16. The Denso
spark plug chart included in the KB S/C installation manual says that for a '00 Mustang GT the spark plug part number should be IT20. What's the difference bewteen the two? Can I proceed to install my IT16s or should I have them replaced for IT20s? Please advice.

The IT16 are the factory heat range while the IT20 are 1 heat range colder. If I use the IT16, which I already got, will I have problems with the performance of the S/C? I just shed $115 for the IT16s. I don't like the idea of having to shed another $115s for the IT20s.

Colder plugs are used to help keep detonation away. I wouldn't use anything other than what kb says to use.

Got it! I don't want any detonation on my car...so I will have to spend $115 more... :(

Are you talking about Denso Iridiums? I would check with Tim at T & J and ask him what he thinks about them.

We all know there is a plug problem with our heads, asking someone to make sure you're not "asking for it" couldn't possibly hurt.
