Hey all Happy Holidays, I've decided to finally take off my skirt and get the
kb (9 with intercooler). My question is this, my car is no spring chicken, I have taken good care of it, but It's a stang, and it's done it's far share of running. I'm at about 48,000, any concerns about KB with those miles? (always use Mobil 1 syn oil and filter, every 5000) Just curious if I should be worried, or just say f....it and go for it.....or wait till 07 cobra?
Thanks

As long as the engine is well maintained and you keep the HP below 400 you should be ok. Personally I would just do it right and drop a short block in while your at it

well, if you are going to plan on waiting for the 07 cobra, just do that and save for iti now so u can make a huge down payment. Or, just get the KB and run it till it breaks! then get forged internals and run some nitrous w/ it or just get the KB now and get forged internals now if you can afford to.

I am on my 4th chip from them. It pings just a little now, only when it's cold outside (go figure). I will have it dynotuned shortly and then it will be 100% safe. I love the power. It feels like I have a Viper engine under my hood.

Take this advice: Have it dynotuned before you race it. It's cheap insurance!
