I would hate to get rid of my tfs intake. an Intercooled ATI sound just as good to me. just got to find a place to mount the intercooler.

ATI's are some serious blowers too. I would love to have any s/c (yes even a powerdyne LOL) Driving my brother's 94 lighting with an S-trim made me realize how great boost really is. Thing runs 13.1 on a stock motor with 10 lbs of boost and it weighs over 4000 lbs! Gotta love forced induction.

Nice! It's all about Blozilla/Flowzilla. Alot of the guys with them are running 11's. Some are running 11's with the 1500 blower. The 1500 will be my first real mod.

Well I have been driving both cars today and I really like the KB but after driving it for awhile the torque feel starts to get old It kinda flattens out and the S-Trim will keep on pulling. I have switched back and forth and did a lot of tests and I think my S-Trim rocks and has a better sound. I have this car for awhile so I am gonna have to seriously think about this swap. I"ve been staring at these 2 motors in my garage and can not decide which set up will look better. The KB def has more bling and mass but the Cobra intake and the S-Trim look so nice as well.

How much boost are both blowers making? Your current set up is a cleaner look.

He has 2 pullies for the KB 9# and 12#. It's currently making 9 psi and my Strim see's about 10-12 #'s. This car is making about 290 to the wheels and runs 13.20's.
The Flowzilla is not on it yet and is supposed to give it around 50+ extra hp. I've noticed some oil leaking around the case of the KB and it concerns me. I'll have to talk to him and see what's the deal with that.

JR, to run that intake one the KB, you must space out the blower pulley as the holley makes the KB sit farther back towards the firewall. My cousin ran that for a while. The flowzilla only works with the GT40 lower, that is why he switched from the holley to the GT40 style lower.

Damn learn something new everyday. I am so leaning torwards just buying this motor from him and not installing the KB on my car now, even after how excited I was about doing this.
My wife sent me this email:

Reasons why not to install the KB,
PROS
~ Something to Do to Stang

CONS
~ Cost to Install - Even if All Goes Well
~ Cost to Uninstall KB & Reinstall Vortech if Dissatisfied
~ Potential for Problem or Mishap/tune
~ Responsibility for Friend's Expensive Stuff
~ Already Unsure of Look
~ Already Sure of Reduced Performance

I was thinking of that already, but I don't think it will work. I saw a few years back a twin Paxton set-up that looked really cool and I have not seen one on anyones car yet.

dual superchargers? That would be like... 4 tornados!

My only Kenne Bell problem is: say your driving, and it rains out just a little bit, enough to get the road wet. You approach a stop light that is on a reasonably steep uphill. Try having a gentle start with full boost at 2K, a car in front of you and one behind you. That would suck. I think they sacrifice too much streetability.

Black95GTS- boost on the KB is throttle responsive, meaning you don't see boost until you mash the throttle so put your fears to rest.

ahhh I was wondering about that. My friend's jackson racing s/c has a similar system, but its a roots s/c. I always thought that the twin screw system had hangups in that regard, but apparently not. thanks!

Car has a Steeda 19 and TFS heads.

Yes Paul is correct, it only buries the boost needle when you get down on it.

Don't get me wrong...it's a damn nice set up but I really think that after driving it around that I really just love the sound of my S-Trim and the boost increase curve.

Yeah it's just the 2200 with an upgraded inlet pipe.

When I asked him the other day if it was a 1.5 he said no so with that I just assumed it was a 2.2. (So for the record) I STAND CORRECTED.
It is actually a 1800 with the Flowzilla inlet. I thought they only made a 1500 and a 2200
