You can upgrade the non-intercooled kit to an intercooled one but you would have to remove the blower and basically do everything again to install the intercooler.
How'd you know what we were thinking?!?!Indiana said:Yes sireeee. KB for me. It should get here about Tuesday. So I don't want to see you lurking by the highway trying to jack the Fedex truck!

because they have different qualities and only a fool will beleive the biggest PEAK numbers mean the fastest.east_sidaz40 said:i mean since the 9psi intercooled will get you around 430HP , why not just go with vortec, since you'll get almost the same HP with only some bolts on added..............??
well it will only keep it safe if the tune is ok.east_sidaz40 said:Okay guys this is a Serious question. I think I'm gonna go ahead and order the KB 1.7L 9psi intercooled. so I need your help with this.
My question is : Since i'm no where near a dyno and Cant get it dynoed.
I thought i will follow these steps: after installing the KB , i will use their tuned chip.and i will order a wideband O2 to watch my A/F ratio at all times. so am I on the right track? will this be enough , and most important will it keep me safe?
Thank you all
all answers will be well appriciated

Kenne Bell do offer a good after sales service so should be able to sort it out but with out the proper equipment I dounbt you will really be able to check it at home.
When you say you are not near a dyno. How far (excuse my ignorance), I just would have thought if you are prepared to spend circa $5000 dollars on the blower even a 2-3 hour journey on a Saturday must be worth while?
As I said KB offer good aftersales but they do need specific data to work with to help track down any errors and such, click here for Kenne Bell's recommended dyno proceedures
well I guess your a bit stuck.east_sidaz40 said:I work here in the arabian GULF, so the closest and ONLY dyno around is in the UAE which is 8hrs away. Like AZ -tucson to LA(same distance almost). and this dyno i'm talking about , is the only one around and they arent that good. no experience really.
so what can i do NOW????

are u gonna be runing the KB on stock internals? and what boost you gonna be runing?
so to upgrade it from 6psi non cooled to 9psi intercooled , all you need is an intercooler?other then that supercharger is the same???Indiana said:I got the 6psi non-cooled. I was set on the 9psi intercooled, but my home air conditioner is fading fast. It will cost about as much to replace as the difference between the cooled and non cooled version.
Also, I plan to run the bejeezus out of the car every time I drive it and I really can't afford to replace the bottom end this year. Most of the mods in my sig have been done this year, so my toy budget is about tapped out.
My plan right now is to get forged parts and cams next year, upgrade to the intercooler and crank up the boost.
