Keeps stalling out... Desperately need help

The oil has to be going somewhere. Either leaking on the ground or being burned in the engine. Since you stated the car smokes real bad, my vote it's being burned.

This post is in the tech section. Likely you have serious issues with your car that will need some serious help. Perhaps even replacing the motor.

Perform a compression test and a cylinder leak down test. This will give a good idea what's the condition of the base engine.

PS, driving the car with no oil will ensure that possibly repairable motor is turned into a boat anchor. Don't ever run a car without the CORRECT amount of oil.

You are not finding any oil on the ground under the car? Who did the oil change? When you say it started smoking "almost immediately" after the oil change, how long after you left wherever you had it changed did it start smoking?

Things that need to be checked.......make sure the oil filter is tight, make sure that the oil drain plug is tight .....If they didn't put back or tighten the oil drain plug you would find oil on the ground immediately after putting oil in the car, if they put the wrong oil filter or didn't tighten it, you would find oil splattered all over that side of the motor and inner fenderwells and probably all down the underside of the car....etc

If you check both of those and everything looks ok there, then you have a much more severe problem, I would then do what WMBURS (above replier) described.

Well, Tires Plus either didn't tighten the oil plug all the way, or left it out entirely, which I can't see happening, I'm sure he would have noticed 5 1/2 or so quarts of oil on the ground. I wouldn't be surprised if he left it so loose it completely fell out.

I'd go back to Tires Plus and raise some hell, even if your engine is not damaged. I pray for you that motor isn't damaged, but, based on what you said in your first post, it does not sound promising, it sounded like you drove it quite a ways before realizing it had no oil

Ask your mechanic if the oil plug was even in the oil pan, I'm really curious now.

It's amazing that it ran for as long as it did with 0 oil. The previous record I'd heard of was about 9 miles on a Honda CX500 v-twin. Definitely raise some hell with tires plus, if they're not replacing the rubber washer on the drain bolt and not using a torque wrench to tighten said bolt, then they are not doing their job right.

Wow, Thanks alot Tires Plus Glad to hear you found a motor, sounds like a good one too, only 40k on it. Hope it doesn't cost too much for the motor and install.

So who you gonna have change your oil from now on? You know you could do it yourself, its really not hard at all, the hardest part is actually getting the oil filter off, I know on my 06 GT its right at the front of the motor and it actually is almost straight up and down making it really easy to get to, and easy putting back on after I fill it to the top with oil, loosing very little to no oil in the process, other than that its just a matter of unscrewing the oil drain plug out of the oil pan, draining the old oil and filling her back up with fresh oil.

Of course you would pull the oil drain plug and drain the oil from the pan before pulling the filter tho. Always get the oil warm first before draining it (by running the car for a few minutes) warm oil drains faster and ensures that you will get more of the old oil out of the motor/pan (think of it like ice cream, when its cold its thick, and if you warm it it gets thinner) <----weird example but you get the idea

Well anyway, if you ever want to change the oil yourself just say so, myself or I'm sure someone would be happy to explain in full detail how to do it.
