Someone who can't afford to buy a GT...how would they afford to drop 5000 on an intercooled supercharger? Just not a very solid market if you ask me.

1.7L is fairly small. I've been meaning to ask you cobra killer...what would be involved with getting an 01 cobra engine and putting this new 2.4 blower on it? I think it would be possible if you could get ahold of the intercooler parts for the 03 cobra blower right?

Btw,we have done 4 built engines with the 1.7...So we know what they produce..
I love the blower,these cars are sick on the streeet..But HP wise they are short of the Vortech cars.The 2.2 is going to be the sick puppy.I bet we can get 650+rwhp out of one.

the v-6 has a lot of potential to it. it was shown with the turbo the kind of power they can put down stock. the v-6 engine is lighter on the front suspention than a v-8. the v-6 cars would make good racing cars, just not dragstrip cars. they would be great if optimised for turning. but even in that they would need a power boost. thats why i was asking if kb would make some thing smaller for the v-6.

The 1.7 wont make 550rwhp unless you have serious heads on the car..Even with a stroker and stage 2 heads(foxlake)VT camsL/T's,Dr,gas ,14psi we only got 515rwhp but 570TQ
Now,the 2.2 is going to be another story.

We have a car here that is setup JUST like Kidds 663rwhp Vortech car.It has a new polished 1.7 on it.It will be on the dyno again next week.I'll post up results.But its already way short of the 663rqwhp kidd has.

How come at KB's website they says the 1.7 can handle up to 650hp??? If a completely built engine can get those numbers, then I just wonder how KB came to the conclusion that 650hp was the limit????? Or is the 650hp on their site crank HP or rear wheel HP??
