key fob and key programming

I have one key and one key fob programmed. If I do the turn on/off 8 times and program a new key fob, the old one gets unprogrammed. How do I add another key fob?

Second question, is it possible to program a second key if you only have 1 or do you have to go to a dealer/locksmith?

You have to have 2 keys to program another. I am not sure about the remote.

Once you've entered the remote programming mode you have to press the lock button on all the remotes you want programmed, new and old.

you can find a locksmith that is off duty to make you a key. i got a new key and had my car programmed for $30.

You can cut a key and it will open the doors and trunk but it will not start the car due to the chip not being programmed.

You need two keys to program a third key.....otherwise a valet who knows Mustangs can park your car, cut a copy and program it in the time it takes you to eat a meal.

As for programming the remotes and keys,....it's actually written in the owners manual on how to do so, along with disabling and enabling the seatbelt warning chime
