One day my alarm went off in my 99 GT and the remote wouldnt work, so I had to use the key to start the car. The alarm turned off, but ever since than I havent been able to use my remote. The keyless entry is completely out of commision. Can I reset it, or it there a real problem? Thanks

The manual describes how to reprogram it. If my car weren't at the shop I'd go out and type up the instructions for you...

It involves turning the ignition to ON and OFF like 8 times or something and then pushing a button on the remote. Something to that effect, it's in the manual.

yes you put the key in the ignition and turn the car on and off about 7 times rather quickly, after the 7th time the locks should lock and unlock, than push any key on the remote.

No. It's the panic button. It sucks.
THe same situation happened to me with my car and it took like 30 seconds to get my keys out of my pocket while everyone thought I was stealing the car. I had been sitting in the car since it was cold.. and it went off for no reason.

I had the same problem. I fixed it by redoing the programming. Turn the key from off to on about 10 times. When the doors lock theselves then you stop. Press a key on your remote and the doors will lock and unlock. Then it is 'reprogrammed'.

Good luck!
