I have a 1993 Mustang LX 5.0. I have hooked up a Crimestopper Keyless Entry system on it. I have it all hooked up except for the door locks and the trunk pop. Does anyone know how and what color wires to hook up. I used a relay to convert the neg. pulse into a possitive. but I still can not get it to work. I am getting pissed. Please someone help. Let me know what I can do to get this hooked up. I have installed at least five of these in cars and I can not find out how to do this one. Thanks Travis

Travis, welcome to the boards.

As you know, for the trunk popper, grab the output at the trunk switch in the glove box.

For the locks, I grabbed the wires at the top of the driver kick panel. Not sure what you mean about converting neg to positive pulse (unless that was for the trunk popper, which might not have had an onboard relay for it anyhow.

More info on where you are stuck might help.

Good luck.

Wiring help.

I took a test light and found the wires for the locks. When I push the lock and unlock buttons on the door it causes the wires to have 12V pos. My alarm has Negative outputs for the lock and unlock. Which means when I hit lock or unlock on the remote fob, the alarm wires that I hook up to the factory wires will have a negative pulse. I think I need relays to make that a positive pulse. I hope everyone understands what I am saying. Did anyone have to use extra relays for the door locks? Please someone help me I have been trying to figure this out for two days. Thanks for any info. Thanks Travis

So you dont have onboard relays for your keyless from the sound of it. You would need to use two SPDT relays (one for lock, one for unlock). The way you actually wire up the relay is a little open, so presenting what you have planned exactly helps (you need a control ground and control 12 volts for the relay to actuate - you can switch either one).

Good luck.
