Since I have a lot of time to think about what I want to do with my Fox, instead of actually getting to work on my Fox. I thought I would make a thread about it.

Assuming I get my 91 running properly again I thought I would run down what I'm thinking about doing. I already have a set of TFS 170CC heads, still need to get an intake and cam (maybe). I found a local guy selling an Explorer intake, 70mm TB, EGR spacer, 24lbs injectors, and billet fuel rails for about $400. Not crazy about the fuel rails and TB since they are Professional Products, but assuming they are in good condition I'll be cheap. Also didn't want to get an Explorer intake again (did this on my last car), but they perform well and are also cheap.

My current thought process is sometime next quarter, I'll yank my stock block, pull the heads and intake, clean up the shortblock, and bolt up my new heads and new (to me) intake. I originally was going to put a TFS stage one cam in it, but I might not. I might not because a few months after that I think I might buy a B&G stage 1 turbo kit. I figure since I can split the block with a turbo kit and a stock cam, then I might save a couple of bucks and skip the TF cam for the time being. I would also run the 24lbs injectors until I got the turbo, at which point I would swap them out for some 42's, or something more suitable.

I all likely hood I'll be broke at this point and still running around on the stock T5, so I would get the car tuned for 5-6psi. Then once I get a Tremec in it, and get the 8.8 built, I'd up the boost. Anyway, if you made it this far thanks for reading my thoughts. Have to discuss it with someone as my wife's eyes generally glaze over when I start going off on technical stuff.

Kind of what I am planning but with gt40p heads and a twin turbo kit with turbocoupe turbos about 8 lbs of boost.. I already have a g force t-5 though.. Blew up the stock t-5 in January so I figured I would spend the money and get somthing that's gonna handle 400-500hp..

Yeah, I figure I will shoot for 320-350ish on 5-6psi, then 425+ once I get the rest of the car up to snuff. How much can those G-force's handle?

since you seem to be doing this on a budget, why not just piece your turbo kit together? it could be done for less than what a kit would cost.

Don't really have time to track down parts. The guy with the intake I want to try and get is only 30 miles away and I won't have a chance to meet him until Christmas.

Sounds like a good plan to me. But you might as well plan to run 10lb's right from the get go. I don't thinks it's humanly possible to go through all the work of putting together a H/C/I turbo car, and then only making ~350whp.

lol I know, I don't want to get it together and then shred the T5 on the dyno. I need to save that sucker for my wife's 67.

BTW, how do you like your setup? How fast does the power come on, etc.
