Well,

I wanted to convert my car over to a 5 speed. I have all the hardware to convert it over to a tko 600 but really didnt want to cut into my tunnel. So I have been diging around for some pricing on richmonds for quite a while now and found the ultimate deal.

I had a major distributor price match a price listed on hawaiiracing.com, Hawaii racing has them listed for 1754.10 part number 7041710A. Got my price match and total out the door was 1854 and change. Give it a try worked for me!

P.S. also looked into there new overdrive tranny. Jegs has them listed at 3199.00
Turns out it is a 5 speed in a six speed case with super big gears. Lamens terms sorry.

Later Eric

PS have a complete TKO 600 setup for sale. Bellhousing tranny shifter yoke and everything Clutch cable and quadrent.

2000 obo.

Have you ever ridden in a car with a Richmond five speed and it's straight cut gears before?

I had a Doug Nash/Richmond 5-speed in one of my old cars and it didn't make noise like that. It was pro-shifted and probably the best shifting transmission I have ever driven. The sound while shifting was loud, but it was precise and solid and no clutch needed. :) I've even owned a Tremec, but would prefer the Richmond over the Tremec.

Get the Richmond if it will fit better than the Tremec.
