I need to find a good helmut shop...maybe the honda dealer off 217...

Man ASD and Duner your girls are freaking sweet! I met with Roots "hairy Dave" and man...that is one nice ride. I gathered from him that I should put a widband commander in my car...and drop a bung hole...*eheh huh huh you said bung hole*

Maybe on dash AF and then an A Pillar for the Fuel Pressure and Boost.

Don't worry about adding stuff to the car yet. Just to do a few open track events. These cars are fully capable of delivering plenty of safe fun stock. After you do a couple of events then think about adding some goodies.

Hell I put my stock pulley and tune in when I do the OT events.

The brakes can be an issue. Trust me. I got two events and 20K+ miles on the stock breaks. I adjusted my driving style on the track to limit the heat build up.

You have a motorcycle shop in St. Helens. Look there for a helmet.

*Doh* yep I bought my Honda Weed eater there...damn it!

LOL

Man that Honda Weed Eater rocks...I knew rice was good for something...makes a killer weed eater...or ahhhh power adder for a prelude. LOL

Good call....ok Dunner I will see you there ...I will schedule time this week on my calander to get her done. My father in law ..ex Lotus Elan racer would love to show up as well. He totally wants me to get hooked into open track stuff...

Eric :nice: :nice:

Back ON topic....Duner, what should he look for in tires? Probably wont wanna trash his street treads?

I've done two events so far.

The first one I used the stock POS F1s on the chromies. They worked pretty well. I was surprised.

The second event I used my Toyo T1S's on the FR500s. These worked very well. But they are fricken expensive.

This next one I will run some more F1s. I still have my front stockers and I picked up a couple of used ones for free. Thanks Cobrasean :nice:

I feel that the slippery stockers for the first couple of events are the way to go. They tend to give plenty of warning before they loose traction. Plus they are cheap.

Next year I may step up to something more dedicated.

Eric, souns like you are convinced to go to open track day! Nice. Nothing beats the thrill of drag racing down the straights and getting to continue on through the corners. :)

Jesse, you going on the 14th as well?
