kyb's are bout $350, illuminas are about $450. if you can aford the $450 I would just step up and run the bilsteins. I got mine for $480 off ebay. with your 2in drop I think they are a better choice.

have not seen many performance places use kyb so that made me not consider them as I was lowering the car and just wanted a bulletproof solution. the fox body illumina's would work as well but I like what I read about bilstein more than tokico.

Tokicos are better than KYB's, KYB's are a great cheap alternative that'll last but not perform as good as Tokicos or Bil's

I can only find Bilstein HD shocks/struts. On the website it says they have HD for stock suspension and SP for lowered cars. Can't find the SP ones. Does it make a difference?

Since I've heard of a lot of people using the older shocks/struts (87-93), can you order the Bilstein HDs for the older models? That might work. If so, I may just do that myself. I put BBK springs on my 04, and they have a 1.5 in drop. I haven't worn out my stock parts yet, but I want to replace them before I do. I was also looking into KYB and Tokico, and was leaning towards the Tokico. If I can get Bilsteins, then from everything I've read, they can't be beat.
