Tomorrow I am having new KYB GR2 struts put on. I know, I could do it myself, if I had the time, tools, and alignment shop I know I liked KYB's on the rear shocks, I can't wait to see how it rides again. My car is 11 yrs old with 75,000 miles with original struts. I am changing them due to the tires rubbing on a arms when it gets cold. P.S. Go to www.KYB.com and they have a questionaire you can fill out to get a free hat with proof of purchase of shocks/struts. I will post back Thursday how the ride is.

I should have measured somewhere on my car the clearance before the new struts. It looks like the nose is higher now and it feels like it sitting in the car. The ride is a definite improvement. The handling will be seen better on the highway though. I got a bad feeling counting parts though its going to be close to $300. Oh well, haven't paid a car payment on it in 6 yrs.

The nose shouldn't be any higher unless they screwed up...removed the springs and didn't put them back in correctly or something...

No the height is ok, but I did notice when I looked under the car that the passengers side spring goes straight vertically up, but the drivers side angles a little from the bottom outside toward the top inside. I am stopping at the shop this morning to find out what the deal is. The noise I heard before the new struts is not as bad, but something is still allowing the tire to come in contact with the control arm on the drivers side

I am running 215/60r15's, stock was 205/65r15's. All the dimensions are bigger than the stock tire. I'm just not turning the wheel the entire way now. I really think that the bigger tire just doesn't allow for the tolerances that the stock size tire had built in when they engineered this model. At least, thats my best guess right now, untill some part finally shows that it needs replaced. Thanks for everyones input.
