Lacking fuel pressure!

Is my pump going out or what? my car wont start because of it, with the key on and car not running it gets 30# of pressure and when i turn it over it drops to 20#, its fuel injected, but when i shoot a little bit of carb cleaner through the throttle body it fires right up. oh and by the way when i turn the key without start to let it pump, it never stops the pumping, the BZZZZ from the pump doesnt stop. Whats up with that?

pressure wise, it could be the pump or the FPR.

Sounds like the pump to me...the continuous buzz at startup seems to indicate that.

You can usually tell the pumps are going when they get louder.

sorry to steal this thread but i got a problem with my pump.... it runs constantly no matter if the key is on or not. what do you guys think it could be.

for a pump that wont stop (even with the car off), i would look for a latched Fuel pump relay. if not that, check the EEC relay for the same condition.
