Laser Red Replacement Color?

Hey I want to paint my mirrors and dont want to really hassle with the tri-coat does anyone know how redfire would match up? I know it looks really similar and I think on somthing like just the mirrors it might not be noticeable? I know someone before mentioned another paint code I think by GM that looks very very close....anyone know anything??

hurmm well there was another color that someone said was almsot identical...tornado red or something not sure what company makes it?

Common matt...just do it right the first time and get paint them lazer red

I know I want to but its such a PITA. The guy that did my hood and bumper just did a base/clear and you wouldnt know if I didnt tell you that its not the exact same paint. He said the paint was really expensive.

I was just at the body shop to see what it would cost to repaint my car and he told me this company they use Mextron or Maxtor, I will call and ask him tomorrow but he said they make Laser Red in a two stage. He said you cant really see the difference, the tri stage is a little deeper. I will post back tomm. with the name.

Matt, dont cut corners, do it properly.
Especially in a mirror that sticks out so much.

Yes thats probaly what my painter used. He doesnt remember what he used though and I cant get a hold of him. My hood and bumper are super slightly lighter then my fenders but no one could really tell unless I told you.

Can you please get me more info on it!?

I dont plan on it, im just trying to find what my painter used and by the sounds of it its what LaserSVT said above, because he said it was only base and clear and its a pretty bang on match.

I hate this color. It fades rather quickly and my front/rear bumper don't look too great at all. My car wasn't lucky enough to have years in a garage and the sun has taken it's toll on it

Clean looking car. Is that a cobra bumper with an add on piece? I think just the cobra bumper would look killer, but it's your car

The bumper is an ABC Exclusive and I want one too
91LX_5L: The paint is from a company called Matrix, my paint guy said PPG makes a two stage as well in the Laser Red. If you ever want to go with a stock bumper again let me know, I'll trade ya

i hate the look of stock gt mirrors painted body colour, it looks so cheap....paint them gloss black!

Mine hasnt really faded much I dont think, stock paint on there.

Mirrors gloss black might look good, i want the import mirrors but there so hard to find, there like the 03 cobra mirrors, folding so you can paint the outside bit bodycolor and inside bit stays black.

bah mabye your right, next time i need to get somthing repainted ill have it done then properly. thanks for the info tho ill prob use it down the road, on the 2 step paint.
