ok here we go I'm building a 410w out of a 69 block girdle, 4340 eagle, 10:1,
afr 205, FTI solid roller, vic jr, pro form carb. Ok I was going to spray it but tonight I got hit with a sweet deal on a T-trim with all the brackets for little of nothing also I got another buddy getting rid of his blow-thru set-up and selling me his carb hat and blow off valve. So do you think I should go for it or am I in way over my head, because ED hasn't started on my cam yet and I still haven't bought a carb either. So any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance

even with a carb.. if you are going centri blower you will need some sort of pre-blower induction (CAI if you will).

unless u just want the impellar of the blower in the open.. thats ur risk i guess.

if all else fails u can put a short ram air intake on it. something like stock w/o the box and just a cone filter on it.

cold air intake.. its that crappy tube you see run from the TB to the fenderwell in most EFI cars.

a carb specific car would just have an air cleaner..

but if ur gonna run a centri.. ull need the CAI.. or *power pipe*

Isn't 10:1 a little steep for a big blower like that??

Well I was told as long as I keep the boost down like 10-12 psi I should be alright and play around with head gaskets

thats close to the ls1 comp ratio. i wouldnt go over 7-8psi myself until u get a thicker head gasket to lower the compression
