late model wheels on a '68

Hey guys,

A girlfriend of mine is restoring her own '68 V8 coupé and really likes the 17" shelby razors. I can't find any helpful info on the backspacing/offset for these classic mustangs and was wondering if 94-04 wheels would fit on her car?

Any other good online stores with lot's of wheelchoices for vintage stangs?

94-04 wheels will fit just fine on her car with some 1" spacers.

Just make sure with tires in the front stay smaller or at a 235 wide and in the rear usually no larger than a 245 or 255 without having to worry about tire rub. I would say run 225's up front and 235's in the rear and you won't have to even worry about it.

When I bought new wheels for my 04 GT I put my stock Bullitts on my 68. 1 inch spacers all the way around is what you need. These wheels have 245/45's on them, but it really needs a 235 on the front, they rub just every once in a while.

one inch spacer seems like a lot to me. Might want to see if there is a heaftier lug bolt. I know on some of the foxes when they add spacers they have a tendency to break. Make sure the spacers are hub centric as well.

Personally, I don't like the idea of spacers at all. However, Many Stang owners on the forums have their car setup that way and have no issues.
