Just notice a tiny leak comming from my 94 GT auto...

I jacked up the car and look quickly and notice signs of what looks like oil splash on the tranny housing...

I loook at where the tranny and engine join and see what looks like a big washer and where I believe the leak is comming from...

Is this my rear main seal ?

any advice is appreciated

Yes, it is called a rear main seal. It's about a $15 part but the tranny needs to be removed to change it. My advice is keep an eye on your oil and if you do some tranny modifications change it then.

Good advice ...

Looks like I may consider a manual tranny swap , or when it gets real bad the leak upgrade the auto tranny ...

This is mostly street car so should I get a shift kit ? and maybe replace OD bands when the tranny is out?

Depending on mileage you can either go manual or do up your existing tranny. I had a 90LX with an AOD and swapped it out for a complete Art Carr street/strip set up (valve body, shift kit, 2800 stall, cooler, etc.) and picked up 6 tenths at the track. Worth every penny because not only did I get the most out of my motor but she was very consistent. Yes do it up it's worth it.
