Hey guys I have a small leak right behind my front wheels in the center of my 96 auto gt. I thought it was oil leaking but I am not sure. I cant really see where it is leaking right now but anyone have any ideas what is right there?

Check your caliper or brake hose for leaks.

Yeah that could be anything leaking. The engine bay is like a Plinko board....just cuz you aim for the 10k doesn't mean that's where its going to land.

I will go check it out to see what it looks like although I dont think I am going to taste it. It isnt the brakes or power steering it is dripping straight down from the center about even with the back of the front wheels I will go check it out.

Ok it looks like either oil or tranny fluid I cant tell the diff but I cant really smell it. The leak is dripping off the center of the black square pan on the bottom of the tranny. I dont know if it is tranny fluid or oil running down the side of it. I checked both dip sticks and both are full although it is a small leak. Any suggestions?

Thats what I thought although when I checked the tranny fluid dipstick it looked almost the same as oil maybe a little lighter. The leak started when I had the oil changed do you think the oil plug would leak to that spot?

Bet you just got some mess left over from your oiil change. If they do a quick job....you'll have a bunch of oil spill from the filter and there might be a little leftover from the plug dripping. You have a few drops...or are you having a puddle?

Is yours a stick or auto...I'm guessing auto the way you described it? Also, how many miles on your car? The tranny fluid shouldn't look that similar to the oil unless its really old and prolly needs changin.

The car is an automatic and I dont think it is the oil it was changed a few months ago and it leaves a small puddle after a few days. Can I change the tranny fluid myself and how can I stop the leak?
