Leaky C4 Question

Hello,

My C4 tranny has a pretty bad leak, and I've found the source. I removed the kick down arm and the neutral safety switch, and the leak is coming from around the rod for the kick down and doesn't appear to be coming from the shifter mechanism that houses the kickdown rod. There is an o-ring around the kickdown rod that appears to be in good shape, but is there a part missing or another seal I need to replace? If so, can this be done without a complete rebuild?

The o ring is just on the outer side. There is a inner seal on the shaft.
The pan and the valve body must be removed then a nut is on the inner side
of the shaft, the seal in taped into the case housing from the outside.
