Thankfully the low budget seating materials on this car seem to look better with age. The seats look more Plastic than Leather especially when new. The seats are starting to get broken in and thankfully they are actually starting to look almost like real leather!! Maybe when I hit 50K on the clock they will "turn into a true leather seat"!! I still use only Vinylex on them since there is no way that Lexol will penetrate that thick layer of vinyl that covers the leather on the front seats. As for the rears they are pure plastic anyway! Lexol appears to be a waste for the interior on the Mustang.

Since I didn't opt for the leather, perhaps you can tell us - - - are they full leather or just leather inserts on the seating surface ?

Not certain but odds are they are inserts. The majority of the seat appears to be 100 percent virgin vinyl. The back seats are 100 percent plastic all the way. Hey they had to cut corners somewhere to get 300 HP so they cut out IRS A quality interior and the lousy stereo. I can live with it but it sure would have been nice to have real leather seats in the car and a stereo that didn't sound like the speaker at the drive in window of a Mcdonalds!!
